They DID tell me that my dealer could give me the software if they wanted to. I called URC, and tried the form, but they refused to offer me the software. They're happy to sell me an entirely new remote system (from another manufacturer) at a multi-K pricepoint, but wont' touch my MX-3000 with a 10' USB cable. An installer sold me an MX-3000 and MSC-400 several years ago, and now that I need a component change, they no longer support the older URC models. It appears that if you try and connect your MX-3000 without the Mobile Device Center running, Windows 7 will try and revert to the standard URC USB driver which wont work. Instead, they gave me a list of A/V shops in the area that would reprogram it for a fee. MX3000 Universal Remote, have uploaded drvupdate-86 and Windows will still not recognize the device I understand that the MX3000 remote had trouble with Vista.
